This base keeps things simple and to the point.

For suggested seating always use about 60cm (24″) per person when determining the number of chairs that can be placed comfortably around a table. You should consider the leg style/placement, overhang, and width of the chairs. For those moments when you are entertaining more people allow for about 50cm (20″) extra in length. Alternatively, extenders of 50-60cm (20-24″) can be used to extend the table for extra seating.
